I love that in Norway your nation costume tradition makes people sensitive to history and craftsmanship.

If we want to continue to have beautiful fabrics and not loose the techniques and even the machinery it takes to create them, we have to first become aware of quality production and next be willing to buy better and less. Sounds like your way, but for many, it means swimming against stream!

Hope you had a lovely Christmas and that the season is still aglow for you!gésbihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18094108253356167918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1567318375972114465.post-28763898073897473842014-12-25T09:30:48.455+01:002014-12-25T09:30:48.455+01:00Merry Christmas!! Thank you for your comment.

Here we have textile production due to the interest for folk costume. In Norway it is the ultimate couture, what you would wear to an audience with the king, a wedding or a christening. I will try to photograph the latest bound sometime soon.

I also talked to a lady in Amsterdam, lovely slik shop, she said that it has become more and more difficult to find fabrics for tha shop... Beaks my heart as I find textiles a huge investment in life quality.

Regards, Kristin Linnea Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07748575002935939688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1567318375972114465.post-60949891204662657112014-12-24T11:07:26.785+01:002014-12-24T11:07:26.785+01:00Mlle Paradis, Karena, Lady Domus,

The proprietor of this shop has a keen eye for quality, texture and color which is evident in the amazing selection of cloth that is available here. A national treasure of a shop if you ask me.Chronica Domushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732224119040843337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1567318375972114465.post-35676748454607675922014-12-23T19:25:55.191+01:002014-12-23T19:25:55.191+01:00Absolutely glorious Gespi!
