In fact, I'm back from the US. The first photos are from Kykuit, the Rockefeller estate garden on the Hudson (Sleepy Hollow NY). The last 3 are from Pound Ridge, CT. An email reader did recognize the Hudson Valley & get it close, mentioning the Storm King sculpture garden. That will be for another trip.
For those who asked:the sculpture in the 2nd photo is by Max Bill, a Swiss artist, architect, painter, etc. (December 22, 1908 -- December 8, 1994). The title of the sculpture is Triangular Surface in Space. (thanks to P for info)
The photo's of woods look like my back yard here in MidCoast Maine. Lovely photo's. Great time of year to travel in the car. Our leaves have gone the season is to short.
