New rooms, new fabrics at the Louvre

The department of decorative arts at the Louvre has been reorganized to include period rooms. Jacques Garcia headed off the scenography and has provided his generous support to the museum.

  1. Oh Gesbi, I can't imagine. Hope I get to see it someday.

  2. Impossible, I know, but I'd love to sit and let my eyes and fingers touch everything. There's always a message that is missed when one just walks through a room – even if the room is a compilation. Loved the close-up of tapestry and bronze.

  3. Yes, I like to take close-ups because that is the nearest we can get to touching in these situations - through perceiving textures.

  4. Adore all this (again)! Your photos give me the feeling that I'm almost touching those glorious textiles. Thank you so much darling Gésbi!
