Gesbi, I had not seen any of that before. The boys and young men of that generation were so brave.
oh my, you have been posting the best things recently! loved the finials post - and felicitations on the new house (in the touraine! i'm trying not to be violently jealous.....)
i'm sure there are many americans who would be very surprised at how tenderly the "greatest generation" are remembered and honored in france.
