Cléo, Charlotte and the others

Little scratches left from promenades long ago

  1. Beautiful photos. Thanks!

Grafitti is always fascinating as it is a snapshot of not only an individual, but of a culture as well. What a person says and how they write it, even the type of lettering used, can place that individual within a certain time frame.

It still leaves you wondering who Cleo, Charlotte and the others were, but sometimes it's fun trying to create lives from a name on a tree.

  2. In times not so long ago people took the time to carve out their marks in stone or wood, something we don't imagine well today.
