I like the closely gathered round arrangements, but I love to see the twisty stems of anemones turning this way and that as in Dufy's painting of pinks and purples, or in my own vase of delicately pink-tinged white blossoms.
I sense Spring ready to happen through your site! Color, shape, design... all work together to make a lovely place to visit. What beautiful design in your pictures, but mostly in your writing. Thank you for a Sunday morning treat.
ReplyDeleteThanks,Sherry. I'm glad to know you're looking in. A little encouragenment goes a long way!
ReplyDeleteI know I will love this site -- filled with beauty and inspiration. By the way, the family I lived with for a short time in Finland in 1979 had a huge, black, gentle, sweet Newfoundland dog named Anemone -- after the delicate flower. Since then, I have never seen an anenome without thinking of Anemone. But now I will think of Lalique and Raoul Dufy as well!
ReplyDeleteI guess there are more kinds of anemones out there than I realized!
